Delhi Police Issues Special Traffic Advisory

There's an important update for students in Delhi. The AI Impact Summit is currently happening near Bharat Mandapam in central Delhi. Global leaders are attending the event, which means parts of central Delhi have traffic restrictions.

Delhi Police has posted an advisory on X about this. They've directed traffic personnel to help students travelling to exam centres. If you're carrying your CBSE admit card or date sheet, you'll get priority on the road to reach your centre on time. So keep your admit card handy — not just for the exam hall but also for the commute.

For Class 10, the first paper is Mathematics — both Basic and Standard. For Class 12, the first exams are Biotechnology, Entrepreneurship, and Shorthand (English and Hindi).

Exam Day Instructions for All Candidates

Here's what you must follow tomorrow.

Carry a hard copy of your CBSE admit card. Without it, you won't be allowed into the exam hall. Wear your school uniform and bring your school ID card. Reach the centre at least 25 to 30 minutes before the exam. Don't carry any restricted items — smartwatches, mobile phones, or any electronic gadgets. If you're caught with one, you won't be allowed to sit for the exam.

Bring your own stationery. No one will lend you a pen inside the exam room. A transparent water bottle is allowed.

You'll get 15 minutes to read the question paper before writing starts. Use only a blue or black pen on your answer sheet.

What's New in CBSE Board Exams 2026?

CBSE has introduced two big changes this year.

Dual-Exam Structure for Class 10 — This was announced last year. Under this system, Class 10 students can re-appear in specific papers where they scored low. It gives them an improvement option without waiting a full year.

On-Screen Marking for Class 12 — CBSE is moving from physical evaluation to fully digital assessment this year. Instead of checking answer sheets by hand, examiners will now evaluate them on screen. CBSE says this shift was necessary given the scale of exams.

The numbers back that up. Around 18 lakh students are expected to appear for Class 12 across 120 subjects. CBSE will handle an estimated 10.4 crore answer books — including papers from centres abroad. Digital evaluation is the only way to manage that volume efficiently.
