The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has rejected recent claims that it reduced the Class 10 and 12 syllabus by 15% for the 2025 board exams and plans to introduce open-book exams for specific subjects.

Earlier, reports surfaced that CBSE’s regional officer in Bhopal, Vikas Kumar Agrawal, announced a 15% syllabus cut for the 2025 board exams at a conference called "Bridging the Gap." However, CBSE clarified that it hasn’t issued any official statement or notification about such changes.

CBSE’s Official Statement on Exam Policy: No Syllabus Reduction
CBSE responded to rumors appearing on some online news portals and newspapers about a 15% syllabus reduction and open-book exams for Class 10 and 12 students in the 2025 board exams. CBSE confirmed that no modifications have been made to its examination or assessment systems and that no official notification supports these reports.
