GUJCET 2025: Registration Opens December 17 for Engineering, Pharmacy Aspirants - JEE Won’t Replace Exam

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) will begin the GUJCET 2025 registration process on December 17. This announcement addresses speculations about the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main 2025) replacing GUJCET for engineering and pharmacy admissions in Gujarat.
The GUJCET 2025 exam will be conducted for Group A, Group B, and Group AB HSC science stream students. The GUJCET information bulletin and registration link will be available on the official website, gseb.org, starting December 17.
Students aspiring to secure admission in engineering, pharmacy diploma, and degree courses must complete the GUJCET 2025 application form by December 31. Applicants need to pay an application fee of Rs 350 through the SBIePay system or at any SBI branch via the SBI Branch Payment option.
Last year, 1,37,799 candidates appeared for the GUJCET exam, including 75,558 boys and 62,241 girls. Recent rumors about replacing GUJCET with JEE Main for 2025 have been clarified by the Gujarat Board’s latest notification.
GUJCET 2025 will be a pen-and-paper exam with a total duration of 3 hours. The exam pattern includes 120 minutes for the physics and chemistry sections and 60 minutes for mathematics.
In parallel, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced JEE Main 2025 will be conducted in two sessions. Session 1 starts on January 22, and Session 2 begins on April 1.
