IIT Roorkee Releases JEE Advanced 2026 Report: Check Important Statistics
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has released the JEE Advanced 2026 report. This report contains the statistics related to registrations, attendance, qualifying marks, toppers, seats, and candidate performance.
This report will be helpful for candidates who wish to prepare for the JEE Advanced 2027. It will help them learn about the pattern of the exam, marks vs. rank for categories, and other statistics. JEE Advanced 2027 is planned to be held in the first week of May 2027 and registration for the same might start from April 2027.

JEE Advanced 2026 Qualifying Marks
Qualifying marks for JEE Advanced 2026 varied depending on the category. The qualifying aggregate mark for the Common Rank List (CRL) was 92, 82 for OBC-NCL and GEN-EWS, and 46 for SC, ST, and PwD candidates.
43,753 candidates qualified for the regular rank lists while 13,127 candidates, 23.1% of the total qualifiers, qualified only for the Preparatory Course cutoff after 75% relaxation.
The rank 30,190 candidate of the CRL had 92 marks.
JEE Advanced 2026 Toppers
Shubham Kumar of IIT Delhi Zone scored 330 marks out of 360 to secure CRL 1 rank in JEE Advanced 2026, subject-wise scores being 112 in Mathematics, 98 in Physics and 120 in Chemistry.
Second rank went to Kabeer Chhillar who scored 329 marks. The topper among women candidates was Arohi Deshpande of IIT Delhi Zone securing CRL 77 rank with 280 marks.
Out of ten top ranked candidates, five belonged to IIT Delhi Zone, three to IIT Madras Zone and two to IIT Bombay Zone. Out of 25 top ranked candidates, eight belonged to IIT Delhi Zone, eight to IIT Madras, six to IIT Bombay, two to IIT Roorkee and one to IIT Kanpur.

Shubham Kumar Secures AIR 1 in JEE Advanced 2026
Shubham Kumar, who hails from the IIT Delhi zone, came first in JEE Advanced 2026 with 330 out of 360 marks. Shubham Kumar scored 112 marks in Mathematics, 98 marks in Physics, and 120 marks in Chemistry.
Kabeer Chhillar, again hailing from the Delhi zone, bagged second place with 329 marks. Arohi Deshpande became the top ranked women candidate by securing CRL 77 with 280 marks.
IIT Delhi zone produced five students in top 10 rankings, whereas IIT Madras produced three students and IIT Bombay produced two students. In terms of representation amongst top 500 students, IIT Madras has the maximum number of students with 174, followed by IIT Bombay with 120 students and IIT Delhi with 114 students.
The IIT Madras zone has the highest number of qualified candidates as well with 14,294 students.
JEE Advanced 2026: 18,861 Candidates Allotted IIT Seats
Out of 1,79,694 students taking both the papers of JEE Advanced 2026, 56,880 were qualified. In total, 18,861 students have been allotted seats in 23 IITs.
In terms of gender, women comprised 20.22% of the allotted candidates, with 3,814 women allotted seats. In terms of gender-wise registered candidates, women comprised 23%, while women candidates qualifying from the examination were 24.9%.
Out of male candidates, 33.6% were qualified. 37.7% of qualified female candidates were allotted seats, as compared to 32.2% of qualified male candidates.
Percentage of women among qualified candidates also differed in different zones. Percentage of women among qualified candidates was 24.2% in IIT Madras zone, 15.2% in IIT Delhi zone and 12.6% in IIT Guwahati zone.
On the basis of categories, OPEN candidates secured 38.2% of allotted seats, while OBC-NCL candidates secured 27.7%. Around 13,127 candidates, or one-fourth of the qualifying candidates, cleared only Preparatory Course cutoff.
