JEE Advanced 2024: Eligibility Criteria

The upcoming exam, scheduled for May 26, has specific eligibility criteria that candidates must adhere to:

  1. Top 2,50,000 Candidates in JEE Main 2024: Candidates need to secure a position among the top 2,50,000 candidates, encompassing all categories, in the BE/BTech paper of JEE Main 2024.

  2. Date of Birth Criteria: Candidates must have been born on or after October 1, 1999. However, SC, ST, and PwD candidates are granted a five-year age relaxation, allowing them to be born on or after October 1, 1994.

  3. Maximum Attempts and Class 12 Exam: Each candidate is allowed a maximum of two attempts in two consecutive years for JEE Advanced. A candidate should have appeared for the Class 12 exam for the first time in either 2023 or 2024, with compulsory subjects being physics, chemistry, and mathematics.

  4. Exclusion of Previous Attempts: Students who appeared for the first time in 2022 or earlier are not eligible to participate in the JEE Advanced 2024 exam.
