Top 2,50,000 Candidates in JEE Main 2024: Candidates need to secure a position among the top 2,50,000 candidates, encompassing all categories, in the BE/BTech paper of JEE Main 2024.

Date of Birth Criteria: Candidates must have been born on or after October 1, 1999. However, SC, ST, and PwD candidates are granted a five-year age relaxation, allowing them to be born on or after October 1, 1994.

Maximum Attempts and Class 12 Exam: Each candidate is allowed a maximum of two attempts in two consecutive years for JEE Advanced. A candidate should have appeared for the Class 12 exam for the first time in either 2023 or 2024, with compulsory subjects being physics, chemistry, and mathematics.

Exclusion of Previous Attempts: Students who appeared for the first time in 2022 or earlier are not eligible to participate in the JEE Advanced 2024 exam.
