JEE Advanced 2026 Registration Closes May 2 - Apply Now

The application process for the Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE Advanced) 2026 will end on May 2. Candidates who haven't registered yet can apply on the official website, jeeadv.ac.in, by 11:59 pm on May 2. For those who've already uploaded the required documents, the last date to pay the fee is May 4.

The JEE Advanced registration window opened on April 23, and the exam will be held on May 17. This year, the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) is conducting JEE Advanced.

To complete the application, candidates have to pay a non-refundable fee. It's Rs 3,200 for general category candidates and Rs 1,600 for female, SC, ST, and PwD candidates.

JEE Advanced 2026: How to Apply

  • Visit the official website, jeeadv.ac.in
  • Click on the JEE Advanced 2026 registration link
  • Log in using your JEE Main credentials
  • Fill in the required details
  • Pay the application fee
  • Submit the form and download the confirmation page
  • Keep a printout for future reference

IIT Roorkee has also activated a link where candidates can submit issues and queries about the JEE Advanced 2026 application. According to a statement on the website, responses to these queries will be posted on the same page in due course.

JEE Advanced 2026: Eligibility Criteria

Indian nationals (including OCI/PIO (I)) must meet all five of the following criteria to appear for JEE Advanced 2026:

  1. Candidates must be among the top 2,50,000 successful candidates (across all categories) in the BE/BTech paper of JEE Main 2026.
  2. They should be born on or after October 1, 2001. SC, ST, and PwD candidates get a five-year relaxation.
  3. A candidate can attempt JEE Advanced a maximum of two times in two consecutive years.
  4. They must have appeared for the Class 12 (or equivalent) exam for the first time in 2025 or 2026.
  5. They should NOT have accepted admission at any IIT earlier.

JEE Advanced 2026: Documents to Upload

Applicants need to upload a Class 10 certificate if it shows the date of birth. If not, a birth certificate works as proof of age. They also have to submit a Class 12 or equivalent certificate if they first appeared for the exam in 2025 or 2026, or if their board declared the Class 12 results for the 2023–24 academic session on or after June 18. If the 2026 marksheet is available, candidates must upload it.

Applicants whose name differs from the one on their Class 10 certificate must provide a gazette notification showing the name change. They'll also need to upload a caste certificate, if applicable.
