JEE Advanced Result 2023 : IIT Kanpur to Provide 10 Special Scholarships to Top 100 Rankers

IIT Kanpur has announced its prestigious "Bright Minds Scholarships" program, which will provide 10 scholarships to the top 100 rank holders of JEE Advanced 2023. This initiative, now in its third year, aims to support and recognize the academic excellence of students who achieve exceptional ranks in the JEE Advanced examination. The scholarships will cover all expenses, including tuition fees and living costs, throughout the duration of the BTech and BS programs at IIT Kanpur for the academic year 2023-24.

The introduction of these scholarships in 2021 was made possible through the generous support of alumnus Lokvir Kapoor. The scholarships will be awarded to selected students based on their performance in JEE Advanced. By offering these scholarships, IIT Kanpur aims to ensure that no deserving student faces financial constraints that hinder their academic journey. Each eligible student will receive an annual scholarship of Rs 3 lakh, providing financial support throughout their undergraduate program. The scholarship will be renewable for all four years, subject to the student maintaining a minimum cumulative performance index (CPI) of 8.0.

According to the institute, the average expenditure for an undergraduate student at IIT Kanpur is approximately Rs 12 lakh for a four-year B.Tech/BS program. The Bright Minds Scholarships will cover various aspects of the students' educational journey, including tuition fees, accommodation, transport, books, and health insurance.
