Finally, after a long wait, lakhs of engineering candidates from all parts of India have got their results. This year's JEE Advanced result 2026 has been declared by the IIT Roorkee today, i.e., 1 June 2026. The AIR 1 rank has been secured by Shubham Kumar who has scored 330 out of 360 marks under the IIT Delhi zone.

The result of the JEE Advanced 2026 examination along with the last answer keys for papers I and II have been declared by IIT Roorkee. The exam took place on 17th May 2026 at various test centers. It may be noted that the cut-off marks have increased in every category.

Shubham Kumar came first in the AIR with 330 marks out of 360 marks, while his closest rival was Kabeer Chhillar, who came second in the AIR with 329 marks. Coming third in the AIR was Jatin Chahar with 319 marks out of 360.

All India Rank 1 was obtained by Shubham Kumar, a resident of Varanasi from Uttar Pradesh state. The consistency of Shubham is evident from the fact that he has scored very well in his previous exam i.e., JEE Main. This year, Shubham was the topper for the IIT Delhi zone in JEE Advanced 2026.

  4. Your scorecard will appear on the screen

  5. Download the PDF and take a printout for future reference

The scorecard contains details including the candidate's name, qualification status, All India Rank (AIR), subject-wise marks, total marks obtained, category-wise rank and cutoff information. Check all details carefully and report any error to the authorities right away.

JEE Advanced 2026 Cutoff

The cutoff this year has seen an upward trend. There has been an increase in JEE Advanced 2026 cut-off across all categories for admission to IITs. The JEE Advanced cut-off marks for General-EWS category also saw an increase in minimum qualifying percentage.

Only candidates who score above the category-wise cutoff are included in the JEE Advanced rank list. The detailed category-wise cutoff is available in each candidate's scorecard.

What's Next? JoSAA Counselling 2026

Qualified candidates now need to register for the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling for admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs.

The JoSAA 2026 cutoff for IITs will be based on JEE Advanced 2026 ranks, while for NITs, IIEST, IIITs, and other GFTIs, admissions will be based on JEE Main 2026 ranks.

The candidate must visit the official website josaa.nic.in to be updated about the date for conducting counseling sessions and choosing your preferred courses.

Do not hurry in selecting options. You should conduct research on all the IITs and the branches that you want to join. Talk to your seniors, find out about placements and the ambiance of the institute.

Candidates unable to crack the exam for the first time should not be discouraged. Many successful engineers have done their first attempt the second time around. Find out where you lacked and prepare accordingly for next year.
