The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to conduct the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024 in two sessions. According to the schedule, NTA JEE Main 2024 session 1 is scheduled from January 24 to February 1, while session 2 will take place from April 1 to 15, 2024.

Prospective candidates can expect the JEE Main 2024 application form to be released in December 2023. Those interested in appearing for JEE Main 2024 can complete their registration through the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.

Last year, NTA initiated the JEE Main registration process on December 15. However, the NTA exam calendar for 2024 was published without the specific JEE Main registration date.

JEE Main 2024 Application Process and Exam Details

The application process for the January session of JEE Main 2024 will start first, followed by the registration process for the April session. NTA will also provide information on eligibility criteria, application fees, and exam center details along with the JEE Main 2024 registration date.

The JEE Main 2024 exam will have a duration of 3 hours and will include Multiple Choice (MCQ) and Integer Value (Numerical Value Answer) type questions. The exam will be conducted online as a Computer Based Test.

JEE Main 2024 Paper 1 will consist of 90 questions, while Paper 2A and 2B will have 82 and 105 questions, respectively.

In JEE Main 2024, Paper 1 covers class 11 and 12 Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics topics. For Paper 2A, candidates should prepare for Mathematics, General Aptitude, and Architecture, while in Paper 2B, the questions will be related to Mathematics, General Aptitude, and Planning, based on the Class 11 and 12 syllabus.

The JEE Main exam is a critical step for admission to prestigious institutions, including Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and Government-Funded Technical Institutions (GFTIs) across the country.
