The Central Selection Allotment Board (CSAB) has announced a special counselling round based on JEE Main 2025 scores. This additional round will be held for B.Tech admissions in NITs, IIITs and other institutes. Interested candidates can check the schedule and details on the official website of CSAB.

👉 Official Notice CSAB Supernumerary 2025

Under the JEE Main supernumerary round, eligible students from Andaman-Nicobar, Lakshadweep, Daman-Diu and Dadra-Nagar Haveli get an opportunity to get admission to B.Tech in NIT Durgapur, NIT Calicut and SVNIT Surat. This round is held exclusively for students from Union Territories.

The JEE Main 2025 special rounds will be held only for the seats left in the NIT system after JoSAA 2025 counselling. There will be three rounds of JoSAA counselling this year, after which the admission process will be completed by CSAB through special and additional rounds.

CSAB Supernumerary Round 2025 is conducted for students who are from Union Territories and wish to take admission in NITs through JEE Main 2025. Below is all the important information related to the eligibility to apply in this round.

Who are the Eligible Candidates?

1. JEE Main 2025 eligible candidates:

All students who have appeared for JEE Main 2025 and whose rank is valid for JoSAA 2025 or CSAB 2025 Special Round.

2. State Eligibility Code:

The State Code of Eligibility of the candidate must be from one of the following Union Territories:

Andaman and Nicobar Islands
Lakshadweep
Daman and Diu
Dadra and Nagar Haveli

3. No Seat:

The candidate must not have any valid seat allotted in the NIT+ system after any round of JoSAA 2025 or CSAB 2025.

If all the three conditions mentioned above are met, the candidate is eligible to apply for CSAB 2025 Supernumerary Round.

Who Cannot Apply?

1. Already Occupied Students:

Students who have a seat at the end of JoSAA/CSAB 2025 and are eligible for PI Reporting cannot participate in this round.

2. Seat Occupiers under DASA 2025:

Students who have already occupied a seat in an institute under DASA 2025 scheme cannot apply in the CSAB Supernumerary Round.

Important Information:

This round is only for special supernumerary seats reserved for students from Union Territories.

Only those candidates who have not yet been allotted a seat can apply.
