The National Testing Agency (NTA) has shared guidelines for students facing issues with name mismatches between their Aadhaar Cards and Class 10 certificates while registering for JEE Main 2025. Applications for JEE Main 2025 Session 1 are open and will close on November 22.

These new guidelines respond to problems some applicants have had with Aadhaar verification, where names on their Aadhaar don’t match those on their educational documents. To help, NTA has made changes to the online form so applicants can complete their registrations smoothly.

Key steps include:

– If you see a pop-up after clicking “Confirm Name as per Aadhaar,” just close it.

– After closing the pop-up, a new screen will appear for Aadhaar verification. Enter your name exactly as it’s written on your Aadhaar Card.

– This process will record both your Aadhaar and educational certificate names, letting you move ahead with the application.

This year, JEE Main 2025 will be held in two sessions. The first session is from January 22 to 31, 2025, and the second session is in April 2025. Additionally, NTA has removed the optional questions in Section B of the JEE Main paper.

Also, JEE Advanced has increased the number of allowed attempts from two to three, so students can now try JEE Advanced up to three times over three years.
