National Testing Agency has successfully concluded the JEE Main 2023 January 30 shift 1 from 9 AM to 12 PM (Noon). JEE paper analysis for BE, BTech exams, and details on answer key will be made available after the shifts get over.
The JEE Main 2022 paper analysis as per a student who appeared for the test in the morning shift today said that the exam was moderate with tricky questions in Maths.

JEE Main 2023 January 30 Shift 1 Analysis
● The overall paper was again said to be of a moderate difficulty level and was easier than that of 2022 papers. Physical chemistry had more calculations, thus being a bit lengthy. Organic and inorganic chemistry was easy and similar to that of the previous shifts.
● As followed throughout the shifts now, Maths was again said to be lengthy.
● A student said that she found organic chemistry in today's paper to be slightly more difficult than in the past shifts, however, others reported that it was of a same difficulty level.
● Physics was easy to moderate with most of the questions being formula-based. However, there were also some concept application questions as well. Also, a student said that there was almost equal weightage given to classes 11 and 12 in the Physics section.
● Physics was however a bit tougher than the previous six shifts of this session.
● Chemistry was again NCERT-based.
● There were about 4 questions from Vectors and 3D. Also, questions were from modern physics, semiconductors, electrostatics, thermodynamics, solubility, integration, lines & planes, probability, and binomial theorem (3 questions).
● Around 4 to 5 questions were from coordinate geometry. There were questions from straight line, parabola, and circles.
● There was only one organic chemistry question in the NAT section. The rest were from physical chemistry.
● Inorganic chemistry had more weightage (around 10 questions). p-block and d-block had heavy weightage.
JEE Main 2023 January 30 Shift 1 : Maths Tough Again
Following the pattern throughout the shifts, Mathematics in JEE Main 30 Jan Shift 1 was again reported to be of a moderate to tough difficulty level and a bit lengthy.
JEE Main 2023 January 30 Shift 1 : About 8 to 9 questions from two topics in Maths
As per the initial reactions of the students, 4 to 5 questions were from coordinate geometry. and 4 questions were from vectors & 3D. A similar weightage pattern was also observed before.
JEE Main 2023 Exam Guidelines
Candidates are advised to follow the below-mentioned JEE Main 2023 exam day guidelines released by the NTA
- Candidates should report to the exam centre as per the time mentioned in their admit card
- Candidates should bring their JEE Main admit card 2023 downloaded from the website jeemain.nta.nic.in along with photo ID proof and one passport size photo
- Candidates should follow JEE Main 2023 dress code as mentioned in hall ticket
- Candidates should not bring any prohibited item inside the exam hall
