JEE Score Valid for IIM Admission 2026: New UG Courses, Eligibility Explained

Your JEE Main and JEE Advanced scores can help you get into an IIM now. Five IIMs provide undergraduate courses on AI, Data Science, and Digital Business, which admit students based on JEE scores.

Until some time back, admissions into an IIM meant that a student had to qualify CAT to take up a postgraduate management course. But times have now changed as IIM Mumbai, IIM Lucknow, IIM Sambalpur, IIM Bangalore, and IIM Kozhikode now offer 3 and 4-year undergraduate courses on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Science, Digital Business, and Management.

Almost all these courses are aligned with the NEP structure and also have multiple exit opportunities wherein a student can exit after taking a certificate/diploma after 1 or 2 years while completing the entire 4 years will enable the student to obtain an honors degree.

Corporate internships generally begin from the third year itself. Several institutes also provide scholarships, meritorious cum means scholarships, central sector scholarships, and education loan facility.

IIM undergraduate courses through JEE scores: quick comparison

IIMs offering undergraduate programmes through JEE scores

IIM Mumbai

IIM Mumbai provides a 4-year BS course in Digital Science & Business Management. For admission into the program, PCM in Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 60% is required.

JEE Main Paper 1 marks will be used for deciding admissions. Candidates with an AIR from 15,000 to 20,000 have an opportunity for being selected based on an interview, where JEE Main marks will hold 70% weightage and interview marks will have 30%.

IIM Lucknow

An AI and Business Analytics BS degree is offered at IIM Lucknow for JEE Advanced candidates. One must be less than 21 years old to join.

Career options include roles as AI consultants, data engineers, business analysts, or becoming entrepreneurs in the tech industry.

IIM Sambalpur

The IIM Sambalpur provides BS in Data Science & AI course. Eligibility requirement for this program is completion of 12th Class PCM with 60% minimum marks.

Selection procedure is in two stages which starts with JEE Main percentile ranking followed by online interview. BSc program is awarded on successful completion of three years and BS (Honors) program after four years.

IIM Bangalore

The Indian Institute of Management (Bangalore) provides a Bachelor of Business Administration degree program in Digital Business and Entrepreneurship for candidates with Science, Commerce, and Arts background.

Candidates can apply through JEE Main, CUET-UG, or the institute’s entrance exam. Scoring in the 90th percentile or higher in JEE Main will definitely help you during the selection process.

IIM Kozhikode

BMS is a 3 or 4 year program offered at IIM Kozhikode.

Admission into the program is based on aptitude test, but there is a shorter route – score above the 80th percentile in JEE Main and gain direct entry to interview stage.

Other IIMs offering integrated management programmes

Some other IIMs offer the 5 year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM).

IIM Indore: Admission is done based on the IPMAT (Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test). JEE Advanced result will be beneficial during the interview process.

IIM Rohtak: Admission is done based on IPMAT. Students who score more than the 90th percentile in JEE Main will get preference during the shortlisting process.

IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya: Admission is based on the JIPMAT (Joint Integrated Program in Management Admission Test). Preference to good Mathematics score in JEE Main is given.

Other institutes accepting JEE scores

There are some other good institutes that use JEE scores for admitting students to their undergrad programs too.

IIIT Hyderabad: Some BTech-MS dual degree programs use JEE Main scores for admitting students.

BITS Pilani: Admissions to BE & MSc dual degree programs take place via BITSAT, which is a test taken by all JEE candidates anyway.

NMIMS: JEE Main scores can be used as one of the modes of admission to selected BTech programs like Data Science & Business Analytics.
