The application process for admission to class 6 in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) for the 2026 academic session has officially started. Parents who want to get their children admitted to JNV can apply till 29th July 2025. The registration will be done in online mode only.

The application form for JNV Class 6 Admission 2026 will be accepted in online mode only. Handwritten or offline forms will not be valid.

JNV Class 6 Admission 2026: Important Dates

JNV Class 6 Admission 2026: Eligibility Criteria

1. Residential Requirement : Admission will be granted only in the JNV located in the district where the student resides. A valid residence certificate must be submitted at the time of application.

2. Educational Qualification : The applicant must have studied and passed Classes 3, 4, and 5 from a government, government-aided, or recognized school.

3. Single Attempt Rule : A student can appear for the JNVST entrance exam only once.

4. Rural Quota : 75% of the seats are reserved for students from rural areas. To qualify, the student must have studied in a school located in a rural area of the same district for Classes 3 to 5.

5. Urban Quota : Students who studied in schools located in urban areas will be considered under the urban category.

6. Remaining Seats : The remaining 25% of the seats will be filled based on merit, and these are open to both rural and urban applicants.
