JNVST 2026 Class 6 Admission: Extended Registration Date, Apply Before August 27

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has extended the last date to apply for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) 2026 for admission to Class 6.

Now eligible students can apply online on the official website navodaya.gov.in and cbseitms.rcil.gov.in till August 27, 2025. Earlier the last date was July 29, which was first extended to August 13 and now to August 27.

Eligibility Criteria

The student must be born between 1 May 2014 to 31 July 2016 (both dates inclusive).
Those who have completed Class 5 in any earlier academic year will not be eligible to apply.

JNVST Class 6 Admission 2026: Application Process

To register, students can follow the steps given below:

Visit the official website navodaya.gov.in or cbseitms.rcil.gov.in.
Click on the “Class VI Registration 2026” link.
Select the registration link when the new page opens.
Fill in the required personal and academic details.
Upload the required documents including photo, signature and residence certificate.
Submit the application form and download and save a copy of it.
