JNVST 2027 Class 6 Registration Open: Check Eligibility, Dates & How to Apply

NVS Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test Notification 2027: Online Applications Available for JNVST 2027. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test is conducted for admissions to Class 6 in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs). Apart from the online application form, NVS has released the official notification and admission prospectus for 2027-28.

Online applications can be submitted till July 31, 2026, and the exam will be held on November 28, 2026, while the results will come out in March or April 2027. This year, the exam is scheduled to be held before the previous two admissions.

JNVST 2027: Eligibility Criteria

A student can give the JNVST test only once. However, to give the test, he/she should satisfy all the criteria mentioned below:

Past schooling	Must have studied Classes 3, 4, and 5 in recognised schools

Not eligible	Students who've already passed Class 5 or repeated it

New District-Based Admission Rule

This year, NVS has made an additional condition, which is a district-wise condition. As per this, a student can apply only to the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya located in his/her own district.

However, there is an exception to this condition. In case a student is studying in a nearby district whose school falls within 10 km distance from his/her house, then he/she can still apply.
