JoSAA Counselling 2023 : Revised Schedule, Process & Documents Required, Check Now
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has revised the counselling schedule. The last day to respond to a query for Round 6 is now July 29, not July 28. The Round 6 seat allotment result is available at josaa.nic.in.
Previously, Round 5 Seat Allotment result and Cutoff were declared on July 21 and July 22, 2023, respectively. Round 4 seat allotment result and cutoff were announced on July 16 and July 17. JoSAA has already released the results and cutoffs for Rounds 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. The last date for JoSAA registration and choice-filling was June 28, 2023, and the process started on June 19, 2023.
All the JoSAA 2023 dates for registration, choice-filling, and counselling were announced on June 7, 2023. Knowing the JoSAA 2023 dates is crucial for candidates to stay informed about the entire process and important deadlines.

JoSAA 2023 Counselling Process

The following steps are described in detail below:
Step 1: Registration: To register, candidates need to access JoSAA's official portal and log in using their JEE Main 2023 roll number and password. Those who have registered for JEE Advanced should log in using their JEE Advanced password. Once logged in, candidates must review all details such as gender, nationality, state code of eligibility, and contact information. It is important to note that apart from contact information, no other personal data can be modified during JoSAA 2023 registration.
Step 2: Choice Filling: After registration, candidates are required to fill in their preferred choices of branches and colleges in the order of their preference. The available choices for admission will be listed based on the candidate's qualifications. Once the choices are entered, candidates can arrange them in their preferred order by selecting the "Arrange Filled Choices" option.
Step 3: Choice Locking: After filling the choices, candidates must lock their selections and take a printout of the chosen options for future reference.
Step 4: Seat Allocation: Seats will be allocated to candidates based on their rank, the choices they entered for programs and colleges, and seat availability. If students are satisfied with their allocated institute and program, they can choose the Freeze option. Alternatively, they can choose either Float or Slide.
Step 5: Document Verification: In this step, students must undergo document verification as per the schedule. The verification process will be conducted online. Only after successful document verification, students will be allowed to report to the allocated institute for final admission.
Step 6: Reporting at Institute: As the final step, students need to report to the allocated institute, complete the remaining fee payment, and fulfill other admission-related formalities.
