JoSAA Counselling 2025 Details Released; Check Business Rules PDF for Admission Process

JoSAA has released the 'Business Rules' document on 28th May 2025. However, the exact dates of counselling have not been released yet. It contains a detailed description of the counselling process, eligibility criteria, seat allotment, choice filling, and other important instructions. You can download it from here.

A total of 127 institutes are covered under JoSAA 2025, including 23 IITs, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs, and 47 other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs).

JoSAA counselling 2025 registration will begin from June 3, a day after the JEE Advanced 2025 results. Candidates must be ready with the instructions and required documents given in the JoSAA rulebook. Without registration, candidates will not be able to participate in the choice filling and seat allocation process.

JoSAA counselling 2025 is expected to be conducted in five rounds. The schedule of all the rounds, seat matrix and list of participating institutes will be released soon on josaa.nic.in. Candidates are advised to keep a check on the official website for all the latest information related to JoSAA counselling 2025.

JoSAA Registration Process

Registration: Visit the official website of JoSAA at josaa.nic.in and enter JEE roll number, name, father’s name, and date of birth.

Choice Filling: Enter your choice from the list of available institutes and branches.

Choice Locking: Lock your choice before the last date.

Seat Allotment: Seat will be allotted based on merit and choice.

Seat Acceptance: Pay the fee and upload the required documents to accept the allotted seat.

Online Reporting: Report online at the allotted institute.

JEE Advanced 2025 Result for IIT Admission

Admission to all IITs will be through JoSAA counselling based on the JEE Advanced 2025 rank of the candidates. The JEE Advanced rank will be released on June 2 along with the JEE Advanced 2025 result at jeeadav.ac.in.

The minimum marks required to pass the JEE Advanced exam will be released along with the result. Candidates will also have to clear the JEE 2025 Advanced cutoff and overall cutoff marks for each subject. Only those candidates who will score the minimum marks in JEE Advanced 2025 will be included in the JEE Advanced 2025 AIR list for JoSAA counselling and IIT admission.

The JEE Main 2025 result for NIT, IIIT and CFTI admission was released on April 18 at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

• Get the information of previous years opening and closing rank to make better decisions at the time of choice filling.
