KCET 2026 Additional Seat Matrix Out; 23 Seats Added Under PH and SNQ Categories

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released the KCET 2026 provisional additional seat matrix for special-category candidates. The seat matrix can be checked on the official website of KEA for the year 2026.

According to the recent matrix, KEA has added 23 additional seats in PH and Supernumerary Quota categories. The additional seats have been offered at selected engineering and other institutes.

Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering has bagged the most number of additional seats. The candidates belonging to these special categories can verify their college wise and course wise seat allocation through the PDF file of seat matrix.

KCET 2026 Special-Category Seat Distribution

The latest seat matrix has 12 PH seats and 11 SNQ seats. This makes the total additional seats equal to 23.

The distribution of seats on a category wise basis is as follows:

PH: 12 seats
SNQ: 11 seats
NCC, Sports & CAP Categories: 0 Seats

Students who have registered themselves for the special categories may refer to the matrix of each institution.

KCET Round 2 Counselling 2026

KCET 2026 Round 2 counselling is being conducted by the KEA at present. The authority had announced the result of Round 2 mock seat allotment on August 17, 2026.

The candidates were allowed to edit their preferences by adding, deleting or changing until August 20, 2026, at 9 AM.

The extra seat matrix will be of great help for the eligible PH and SNQ candidates to know about the availability of seats before finalizing their preferences.

Once the option modification process comes to an end, KEA will start with the seat allotment process of Round 2.
