KCET 2026: Board Exam Students Must Update Class 12 Marks for UGCET Merit
The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has issued an important notice for candidates appearing in the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2026 who have passed their Class 12 examination from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), and other state boards.
An official notice issued by KEA Executive Director H. Prasanna, IAS, states that a dedicated link has been activated on the portal for students from CBSE, ISC, and other state boards; through this link, they can grant permission to DigiLocker and automatically retrieve their Class 12 marks. These marks will be utilized for the determination of merit in accordance with prescribed regulations.

Candidates are hereby informed that there is no provision for manually entering marks or for submitting physical copies of mark sheets to the KEA.
According to the official notice, such candidates are required to update their Class 12 marks through the KEA portal to enable automatic fetching of marks using DigiLocker. The authority clarified that there is no provision for manual entry of marks or submission of physical copies of mark sheets to KEA.
Upon completing the DigiLocker step, candidates are required to log in to the KEA CET online portal and grant permission to retrieve their marks.
The KEA has issued a warning that the results for UGCET 2026 may be withheld for candidates who fail to complete this process immediately. The Authority has also clarified that students who have already updated their marks may disregard this notice.
Furthermore, the Karnataka Education Department (KEA) has initiated the data collection process for candidates applying for UGCET 2026 and appearing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG).
Candidates can submit their NEET UG Roll Number and Application Number, and upload their NEET UG Admit Card via the dedicated online link provided at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/neetenroll2026/forms/login.aspx.
