KCET 2026: KEA Extends Document Verification Deadline – Check Details
The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has extended the deadline for document verification for KCET 2026. KCET is also known as the Undergraduate Common Entrance Test (UGCET) 2026. Candidates whose "Claim Certificate" status still appears as "Not Verified" must complete their verification process by May 21, 2026. To do so, candidates are required to visit their nearest Government Pre-University (PU) College and submit all necessary original documents.
The KEA has clarified that students whose school and academic details were already verified via their SATS number during online registration do not need to undergo re-verification. The status of such students will appear as "Successfully Verified." However, candidates applying under reservation categories must complete the verification process if their status still shows as "Not Verified." These categories are as follows:
Study in Kannada Medium from Class 1 to 10
- Rural Quota
- Linguistic Minority Quota
- Religious Minority Quota
According to the KEA, despite previous instructions, many candidates have not yet completed their verification. The Authority has termed this a final opportunity and has urged candidates to complete the process without delay. The KEA has also stated that there will be no further extension of the deadline beyond May 21.
