KEAM Result 2026 Postponed Due to CBSE 12th Revaluation — Latest Update
According to reports, the KEAM 2026 results declared by the Commissionerate of Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala are expected to see further delay. Citing an official statement from the CEE, the KEAM 2026 results were scheduled to be declared today, i.e., on June 22. However, following the declaration of CBSE Class 12 revaluation results late on Saturday night, the Kerala Higher Education Minister R Bindu John has requested the CEE to postpone the release of the KEAM results.
This is in response to several complaints made by students regarding the lack of sufficient time to upload their revised marks following the CBSE revaluation results announcement.
It should be noted that there are several students and parents of candidates whose concerns led to the decision to postpone the KEAM results. According to them, they do not have enough time to upload their revised Plus Two marks due to the CBSE revaluation results being announced too late and, thus, they have been asking to provide additional time for uploading the marks for the KEAM rank list.
The postponement is related to the role of Plus Two marks in the formation of the KEAM engineering rank list. Specifically, according to the regulation of the CEE, the candidate's rank depends on two equally weighted factors. The first one is the normalized result of the entrance test, while the second factor is the marks obtained by the candidates in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry in the qualifying exam.
That means that any change in the Class 12 results will inevitably lead to changes in the final KEAM engineering rank list position.
The problem arose after the declaration of the CBSE Class 12 results on May 13. After that, the organization provided its candidates with the opportunity to obtain scanned copies of the evaluated answer sheets and to apply for mark verification or re-evaluation. This resulted in the prolongation of the revision cycle. The thing is that while many students were waiting for their re-evaluation results, the formation of the KEAM rank list started.
In the beginning of this month, the deadline for uploading Plus Two marks on the KEAM website was postponed in order to facilitate CBSE students still waiting for their re-evaluation results. In particular, at the time Higher Education Minister Roji M. John stated that the government was ready to declare the KEAM results, but did not want to make CBSE candidates with revised marks suffer because of losing some points in the rank list.
The minister also warned that the KEAM rank list cannot be postponed indefinitely as it may affect the engineering college admission schedule and, thus, the whole higher education admission calendar in the state. Nevertheless, after the CBSE re-evaluation results have been declared late on Saturday, the request for additional time for updating revised marks has been made.
