The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has released the admission notification for the 2025-26 academic year. The online application process for Class 1 and Balvatika (Level 1, 2 and 3) will begin on March 7, 2025 at 10 am and close on March 21, 2025 at 10 pm.

Applications for admission to Class 2, Balvatika 2 and higher grades will be accepted from April 2, 2025 to April 11, 2025. The first list of students selected for these classes will be released on April 17, 2025. Admission will be given based on seat availability in each class.

KVS Admissions 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The admission process for Class 1 and Balvatika is based on the following age requirements:

  • Class 1: Pupil must be 6 years old as of March 31, 2025
  • Balvatika Level 1: Applicants should be between 3 - 4 years old
  • Balvatika Level 2: Applicants should be between 4 - 5 years old
  • Balvatika Level 3: Applicants should be between 5 - 6 years old

How to apply for KVS Admission 2025-26 Online?

Parents and guardians can follow the following steps to complete the online application process for the admissions:

Step 1: Visit the KVS admission portal at kvsangathan.nic.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, find and click on the ‘Admission 2025-26’ link

Step 3: Click on the ‘New Registration’ button

Step 4: Enter the required correct details

Step 5: Go back to the homepage and login using your registered email ID and password

Step 6: Fill all the fields with correct details like child’s personal information, parent’s details, and preferred Kendriya Vidyalaya school

Step 7: Upload scanned copies of required documents

Step 8: Submit the application form and pay for the application fee online through Credit/Debit Card/Net Banking/UPI).

KVS Admissions 2025 Important Documents Required

Parents/ Guardians seeking admissions for their children in classes 1 and Balvatika levels must carry these documents while applying for admissions online:

  • Child’s birth certificate
  • Passport-sized photograph of the child
  • Proof of residence (Aadhaar card, voter ID, or utility bill)
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Transfer certificate (for admissions to higher classes)

KVS Admissions 2025 : Selection Process

The selection process for KVS Class 1 Admissions 2025 is based on the following criteria:

  1. RTE Quota: Admissions under the Right to Education (RTE) Act.
  2. Service Priority Category: Priority will be given to children of central government employees (Category I and II).
  3. Reservation Quota: Remaining seats will be filled based on reservation norms for SC, ST, and OBC (NCL) categories.
