Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has extended the last date for the submission of applications for Class 9 and 11 lateral entry admission in 2024. Students now have until November 7 to apply for JNVST Class 9 and 11 lateral entry admission through the official website, navodaya.gov.in.

The initial deadline was October 31, but the NVS lateral entry admission deadline has been extended by seven days. Both NVS Class 9 and 11 lateral entry admission tests are scheduled for February 10.

To be eligible for the Class 11 lateral entry selection test, students must be studying in Class 10 in the 2023 January to December session or the April 2023 to March 2024 session. Those who cleared the Class 10 exam before the 2023-24 academic session are not eligible.

When applying, students will need to upload their photograph, signature, and parent's signature in jpg or jpeg format, with file sizes between 10kb to 100kb.

According to NVS age limit criteria, students' date of birth should fall between June 1, 2007, and July 31, 2009, inclusive of both days.

The NVS lateral entry test will last for 2 hours and 30 minutes, from 11 AM to 1:30 PM, consisting of five sections with only objective-type questions. An additional 15 minutes are provided for reading instructions and questions from 10:45 AM to 11 AM. Differently-abled students are allowed an extra 50 minutes.

The institute has also uploaded NVS Class 9 and 11 sample question papers on the official website, cbseitms.nic.in. The question paper is divided into five sections, with a total of 100 marks as follows:
