The application process for NVS Class 9 Admission 2026-27 is ongoing. Online registration for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) has started from 30th July 2025. The last date to apply is 23rd September 2025. Interested students can fill the form on time by visiting the official website.

The JNVST Class 9 entrance exam will be held on February 7, 2026. The result of the exam will be declared in March 2026. Successful candidates will get admission in class 9 in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas.

This exam is conducted to fill the vacant seats in about 650 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas located in 27 states and 8 union territories across the country. The aim of the exam is to evaluate the proficiency of students in English, Hindi, Mathematics and Science subjects.

NVS Class 9 Admission 2026: Eligibility Criteria

The candidate should be studying in class 8 in a recognized school in the academic year 2026.

Should be from the same district where Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is located.
Date of birth should be between 1st May 2011 to 31st July 2013 (inclusive).

Visit the official website navodaya.gov.in.
Click on the Class 9 Admission 2026-27 Registration link.
Fill in the required details and upload passport size photo and signature (10KB–100KB).
Enter the academic information and check the form.
Submit the form and take a print out if all the information is correct.

Admission Process and Result

JNVST Class 9 Result will be released in March 2026.
Selected students will be called for document verification at the respective Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya.
The required documents will include birth certificate, educational certificate and domicile certificate.
