Telangana Inter Admission 2026 Last Date Extended to August 15; Key Rules and Guidelines

Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE) has rescheduled the deadline for first-year Intermediate admission for the academic year 2026-27. The eligible candidates will be able to apply for Class 11th admission in affiliated junior colleges up to August 15, 2026.

This rescheduled deadline is applicable for all government, private aided, private unaided, residential, welfare and composite junior colleges affiliated to TGBIE. The institutions have been directed to put up the details regarding admission prominently at the entrance gates on daily basis.

Telangana Inter Admission Reservation Rules

All admissions shall be as per the specified reservations which include 15 percent of the total number of seats for the candidates from SC community, 10 percent for ST, 29 percent for BC category, and 10 percent for students from EWS. The 5 percent of the total seats will be reserved for the physically challenged candidates as well as the students belonging to NCC, Sports and other activities.

Further, the 33.33 percent of the total seats under each category will be reserved for the girl students if there are no separate girls’ colleges for them.

Admission will be done on the basis of the Grade Point Average (GPA) or subject wise grade/marks in the qualifying examination. The junior college shall not be allowed to conduct any special entrance examination/entrance test for admission purposes.
