The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has issued instructions for higher secondary (HS) or Class 12 practical and project examinations 2024. The practical exams are scheduled to begin from December 1 and will continue till December 15.

The distribution of blank answer scripts and question papers to schools will take place on November 29. The Class 12 board exams in West Bengal are set to be held from February 16 to 29, as announced earlier in May.

Guidelines have been provided for entering the project and practical marks on the official website wbchseexam.wb.gov.in/exisMarks.

Important Guidelines for Practical Exams

Practical exams, including Music (MUSC) and Health and Physical Education (PHED), will be conducted by teachers of the concerned subject.
If a teacher is unavailable, a teacher from a neighboring school can be appointed, with prior permission from the concerned Regional Office of the Council.
Candidates who passed the practical exam in the previous year are exempt from reappearing. Valid answer scripts must bear the signature of the concerned examiner.
Evaluated practical answer scripts need not be submitted immediately. The head of the school should securely store them until further instructions.

The Council will collect answer scripts in the order of registration number as required. Practical marks for Class 12 students should be uploaded on the official website between December 4 to December 31, along with project marks.
