The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has declared the WBJEE 2026 result today. The result link for the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination 2026 has become active on the official websites wbjeeb.nic.in and wbjeeb.in from 4 PM.

WBJEE 2026 was conducted for admission to undergraduate Engineering, Technology, Architecture, and Pharmacy courses offered by universities and colleges across West Bengal. Candidates who appeared for the exam can check their WBJEE result 2026 online by using their login details.

As per the General Merit Rank list, Shaswat Banerjee has secured Rank 1 in WBJEE 2026. Souriddha Mondal has secured the second rank, while Umang Bhoot has got the third rank. Other top rank holders include Rahul Konar, Sravan Bhattacharya, Arha Bhattacharya, Srijan Suir, Manish Senapati, Sabyasachi Laskar, and Debojeet Pal.

The WBJEE 2026 counselling process for admission will begin soon. Candidates who qualify in the entrance exam will have to complete the required steps during counselling. The seat matrix for government and private engineering and technology colleges in West Bengal will also be released during the counselling process.

The board has stated that no comparison has been made between districts or between boys and girls in the merit list. The WBJEE 2026 exam was held on May 24, 2026, for admission to undergraduate courses in Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy, and Architecture in West Bengal.

The WBJEE 2026 result will be released in the form of a rank card. The rank card will include subject-wise scores, total marks, qualifying status, and merit rank. Candidates who qualify will be eligible to take part in the WBJEE counselling process. The counselling schedule will be announced by the board in due course.

WBJEE 2026 Marking Scheme

The WBJEE 2026 question paper is divided into three categories across all subjects. In Category 1, each correct answer carries one mark. For every wrong answer, one-fourth mark is deducted.

In Category 2, each correct answer carries two marks. For every wrong answer, half a mark is deducted.

In Category 3, each correct answer carries two marks. There is no negative marking in this category. However, if a candidate marks any wrong option, the answer will get zero marks.

For partially correct answers in Category 3, marks are given proportionally. This applies only when a candidate marks some correct options and doesn’t select any wrong option. Unattempted questions get zero marks in all three categories.
