NEET Exam 2019 : SC increases UG medical student’s age limit

On Thursday, November 29, Supreme Court (SC) permitted MBBS and BDS aspirants above 25 years of age to apply for NEET 2019.

For now the candidates can only apply for the exam but the admission will depend on the final outcome of the case on the validity of CBSE’s decision to fix the upper age limit. Along with this decision, the SC has directed the NTA to extend the last date for submitting the NEET 2019 Application Form by a week.

This is not yet clarified that the last date has been extended for all the candidates or for candidates over the age of 25 years.

There are some newspaper reports that has informed that the last date to submit the NEET 2019 Application Form has been extended for the aspirants who did not qualify under the earlier age criteria to apply. However, NTA is yet to clarify on this matter at its official website.
