Exciting news! In 2023, National Institute of Technology Delhi (NIT-D) broke into the top 100 in the Education Ministry’s National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) for engineering. This marks a significant milestone for the institute since its establishment in 2010. NIT-D is among the 31 NITs in India and operates autonomously under the Ministry of Education, established by the Parliament in 2007.

Until 2023, NIT Delhi hadn't secured a spot in the NIRF rankings for the past five years across various categories, including overall performance and research.

NIT Delhi made significant progress in the engineering category, climbing to 51st place in 2023 from its previous position in 2022, where it scored 194.

Graduation Outcomes (GO): 63.58

These scores are out of 100, reflecting the institution's strengths and areas for improvement.

NIT-Delhi: Courses introduced

The technology institute based in Delhi recently launched new programs to adapt to the guidelines outlined in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Starting from the academic year 2023-2024, students can enroll in a BTech program focusing on artificial intelligence and data science, as well as MTech programs in smart materials and technologies, mathematics and computing, and power and energy systems.

Moreover, NIT Delhi provides undergraduate (BTech) programs in five fundamental engineering disciplines: computer science and engineering (CSE), electronics and communication engineering (ECE), mechanical engineering (ME), electronic engineering (EE), and civil engineering (CE).

For those aiming for advanced studies, the institute offers MTech programs in six specialized fields, along with PhD programs covering all branches of science and engineering.
