Dress Code Related JEE Main 2024 Exam Day Guidelines

Candidates should take care of their attire on the day of examination. However, there is no specific dress code specified by the national testing agency. Candidates should keep the following things in mind while wearing clothes.

Candidates should not wear clothes with many pockets as this may cause delay during checking at the examination centres.
Candidates have to take care that they do not wear any expensive jewelery or watch on the day of examination.
Candidates should not bring any extra paper, books or any other thing which could be counted as unfair means.
Also, candidates should avoid wearing shoes with thick holes on the day of examination. Try wearing open shoes like sandals or slippers.
Candidates, especially girls, should keep their hair tied properly and should not use any hairpin, band or any other accessories.

JEE Main 2024 Exam Day Guidelines

Below are the JEE Main exam day guidelines for D-Day which every candidate must follow: Candidates are advised to reach the venue by the reporting time for G Mains examination.

1. No candidate will be allowed to enter the JEE Main 2024 examination center after the gate closing time and candidates will not be allowed to leave the examination center premises before the completion of the examination.

2. Students wearing any particular attire for religious reasons are advised to reach the examination centers early and undergo thorough screening and mandatory frisking.

3. The candidate must carry all the documents to be carried to the examination center for JEE Mains along with JEE Main 2024 admit card, address proof for JEE Mains. A candidate who does not have NTA JEE Mains Hall Ticket 2024 will not be allowed for the examination under any circumstances by the Center Superintendent.

4. Before reaching the JEE Main examination centres, candidates must duly fill the self-declaration form, affix their passport size photograph and affix their left hand thumb impression in the space provided.

5. Students should strictly follow the G Main Rules and Regulations 2024 as per the instructions of the Center Superintendent/Supervisors.

6. Candidates will have to maintain social distancing as per G Main guidelines.

7. Candidates should take their seats immediately after the opening of the examination hall. They can log in and read the instructions for JEE Mains 2024 before the commencement of the examination.

8. A pen/pencil and blank paper for rough work will be provided in the examination hall. Candidates must write their name and roll number on the top of their sheet. This sheet must be returned to the invigilator before leaving the examination hall.

9. Candidates have to enter the required details in the attendance sheet, put signature and paste the photographs at the specified place.

10. Candidates must ensure that their left thumb impression should be clear and not blemished on the attendance sheet.

11. Candidates claiming PwD reservation must carry PwD certificate and ID proof for JEE Main examination issued by the competent authority to the examination centre.
