With the release of the provisional model answer of the second phase of JEE Main, a controversy has arisen. NTA had released the model answer on 10 April. After this, teachers and students allege that 25 to 28 percent of the questions in the released model answer are wrong.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) had released the provisional answer key of the second phase of JEE Main on 10 April. NTA has already removed 12 questions in the second session of JEE Main 2025. Every candidate who appeared in the exam has been given four marks for each of these removed questions.
That is, all the candidates have been given 48 marks. After this, now students and experts are expressing concern about nine questions. In such a situation, a total of 21 questions are expected to be removed. There are a total of 90 questions in the exam, out of which 75 have to be attempted.
If 21 of these questions are removed and 4-4 marks are distributed to the candidates, then the scope of competition ends. In this way, 28% questions will be dropped, that is, marks will be given to everyone for more than a quarter of the questions.
Anger Erupting on Social Media: Parents are continuously expressing their anger on social media regarding the continuous irregularities of NTA. A user wrote on X, 'Tragedy of errors - Answers of many questions in the JEE Main answer key are different from the actual answers.
Along with this, wrong options have been given for many questions. Students have demanded that NTA should investigate all the objections impartially and if needed, the result of the exam should be revised again.
