JoSAA Registration and Choice Filling 2026 - Procedure
If you want to take part in the counselling, you'll need to complete the JoSAA 2026 registration and choice filling online. JEE Main candidates log in with their JEE Main registration number and Main password. JEE Advanced 2026 qualified candidates log in with their Main registration number and Advanced password. Here's how the process works.
JoSAA Registration – To register, use the JoSAA Candidate portal of the year 2026. Login to the portal using the Application number for JEE Main and your Main/Advanced password. Your details will be automatically fetched from the JEE Main database. After verifying your data, proceed. As a final step, change your password. Please complete the procedure well before the last date for completing your registration.
JoSAA Choice Filling - After logging into the portal successfully and finishing the registration process, you will now have to choose your institute of interest. Choose the college and the course you wish to pursue. Remember that it is only the choices filled that affect seat allotment. It's better if you make as many choices as possible depending upon your ranking. Do this well before the last date for filling your choices.
JoSAA Choice Locking – The final task left for you would be to lock your choices made. In case you do not lock your choices before the end date provided by the authority, your choices will be automatically locked after closing of the choice locking window.
