The Proof: Analysis of JEE Main April 2025 Paper
I analyzed the JEE Main April 3, 2025 (Shift 1) question paper to see if this strategy actually works. The results were shocking.

Here is the breakdown from the April 2025 paper:
| Unit/Chapter | Questions | Marks |
| Thermodynamics (Physics + Chemistry) | 5 | 20 Marks |
| Coordination Compounds | 4 | 16 Marks |
| Units & Dimensions | 2 | 8 Marks |
| Modern Physics / Atomic Structure | 3 | 12 Marks |
| Total | 14 | 56 Marks |

Real Example from 2025 Paper:
Question 26 in the Physics section simply asked students to add three masses (435.42 g, 226.3 g, and 0.125 g) using significant figures. That is 4 marks for basic addition!

The Double-Benefit Chapters (Study Once, Score Twice)
Before you start random chapters, prioritize the "Double-Benefit" topics. These chapters appear in both Physics and Chemistry. Study them once and score in two sections.
1. Structure of Atom (Chemistry) & Modern Physics (Physics)
- The Hack: The concepts of Bohr's Model, Transitions, and Photoelectric Effect are identical in both subjects.
- Proof: In the 2025 paper, Question 52 in Chemistry asked about Bohr's model postulates. If you had studied Modern Physics, you could answer this Chemistry question easily.
2. Thermodynamics (Physics & Chemistry)
- The Hack: The laws and processes (Isothermal, Adiabatic) are the same in both subjects.
- Proof: The 2025 paper had questions on adiabatic compression in Physics (Q34) and Enthalpy changes in Chemistry (Q71).
Physics: The Sure-Shot List (Target: 20-24 Marks)
Physics is often feared, but these chapters are formula-based and require very little visualization. They are perfect for students who want quick marks.
| Chapter | Difficulty | Weightage | Why It's Sure-Shot |
| Units & Dimensions | Easiest | 4-8 Marks | In 2025, Q27 was a simple Match the Column. Takes 4 hours to master. |
| Semiconductors | Easy | 4 Marks | Focus on Logic Gates. Q45 in 2025 was a standard Truth Table question. |
| Modern Physics | Easy | 8-12 Marks | Direct formula questions. Q43 asked for color of light based on Work Function. |
| Current Electricity | Medium | 8 Marks | High weightage. Focus on Meter Bridge, Potentiometer, Shunt resistance. |
| Ray Optics | Medium | 6-8 Marks | Formula-based. Lenses, Mirrors, Refraction calculations. |
| Gravitation | Easy | 4 Marks | Focus on Variation of g, Escape Velocity, Satellite problems. |

Must-Do Topics in Physics:
- Significant Figures & Error Analysis (4-8 Marks guaranteed)
- Logic Gates: AND, OR, NAND, NOR (appears every session)
- Bohr's Model & Photoelectric Equation
- Variation of 'g' with height, depth, and rotation
Chemistry: The High-Scoring List (Target: 20-24 Marks)
In JEE Main 2025, Chemistry was the most scoring subject. Inorganic and Physical Chemistry offered easy calculations. NCERT is your Bible for Chemistry.
| Chapter | Difficulty | Weightage | Why It's Sure-Shot |
| Coordination Compounds | Easy | 8-12 Marks | High ROI. Q63 asked to compare wavelengths absorbed by complexes. No complex math. |
| Biomolecules | Easiest | 4 Marks | Pure memorization. Q70 asked L-Fructose structure. NCERT image was enough. |
| Structure of Atom | Easy | 4 Marks | Overlaps with Physics. Focus on Quantum Numbers and Electronic Config. |
| Solutions | Medium | 4-8 Marks | Formula-based Colligative Properties. Q54 was Boiling Point Elevation. |
| Chemical Bonding | Medium | 6-8 Marks | MOT and Hybridization. Q59 asked hybridization of SF6. |
| Electrochemistry | Medium | 4-8 Marks | Nernst Equation, Conductivity calculations are formula-based. |

Must-Do Topics in Chemistry:
- Coordination Compounds: Hybridization (VBT), Magnetic Moment, Isomerism
- Chemical Bonding: MOT diagrams and Hybridization of molecules
- Biomolecules: Structures of Glucose, Fructose, and Vitamins (direct NCERT)
- Thermodynamics: Enthalpy, Entropy, Gibbs Energy calculations
Mathematics: The Sure-Shot Topics (Target: 36-40 Marks)
Mathematics is often considered the toughest subject. However, these 13 topics have contributed over 1000 questions in the last 5 years! On average, you can score 36-40 marks from these topics alone.
| Chapter | Important Topics | 5-Year Questions |
| Matrices & Determinants | Adjoint of Matrices, System of Linear Equations | 117 |
| Vector Algebra | Product of 2 Vectors (Dot & Cross Product) | 113 |
| 3D Geometry | Shortest Distance between Two Lines | 122 |
| Functions | Domain & Range | 47 |
| Definite Integration | Properties of Definite Integration | 78 |
| Differential Equations | Linear Differential Equation | 88 |
| Sequences & Series | General Term & Sum of AP, Summation | 123 |

Best Resources for Preparation
For Chemistry:
NCERT is your Bible. In the April 2025 paper, the question on L-Fructose was a direct image from the NCERT textbook. Read every line for Inorganic Chemistry.
For Physics:
Don't overcomplicate easy chapters. Stick to coaching modules and Previous Year Questions. Solving last 5 years PYQs (2021-2025) is more valuable than thick theory books.
For Mathematics:
Practice is key. Focus on formulas and standard problem types. Chapter-wise PYQs help understand the pattern quickly.
Important Tips for Exam Day
- Attempt Do-Or-Die chapters first: Secure your safety marks in the first 60-90 minutes.
- Don't spend too much time on tough questions: Move on and come back later.
- Use the 40 marks as foundation: This is your safety net, not your ceiling.
- Trust your preparation: If you followed this strategy, you are ready.
- Stay calm: Confidence matters more than last-minute cramming.
