Along with the provisional answer key, the NTA has also opened the objection window today. Students who find any discrepancies in the answer key can raise objections by paying a fee of ₹200 per question. This fee is non-refundable. The objection window will remain open only until February 5, 2026, so candidates should submit their objections as soon as possible.
After the objection window closes, the NTA's subject experts will review all the submitted objections. They will then prepare the final answer key based on their analysis. The NTA will use this final answer key to calculate the Session 1 results, which are expected to be released by February 12, 2026.
The JEE Main Session 1 exams were conducted on January 21, 22, 23, 24, 28, and 29, 2026. The NTA conducted all the exams in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) was held in two shifts daily for the first five days.
