The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 provisional answer key along with the candidate response sheets earlier this week. Around 13 lakh students who appeared for the exam can now access the answer key and their recorded responses on the official portal.

How to Check JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Answer Key & Raise Objections?
Follow these simple steps to check the provisional answer key and submit your challenge before the deadline.
Step 1: Go to the official website — jeemain.nta.nic.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the "JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Provisional Answer Key/Response Sheet" link.
Step 3: A login page will open. Enter your application number and password or date of birth.
Step 4: Click on the "Submit" button. Your question-wise answer key, selected options, and response sheet will appear on the screen.
Step 5: Download and save the answer key and response sheet for your reference.
Step 6: To raise an objection, select the question(s) you want to challenge.
Step 7: Upload supporting documents or justification for each challenge you're submitting.
Step 8: Pay the objection fee of ₹200 per question through credit card, debit card, or net banking.
Step 9: Review your challenges and submit them before 11:50 PM today.
Important: Make sure you have valid proof or justification for every objection you raise. NTA will only consider challenges that come with proper supporting documents.
What Happens After the Objection Window Closes?
Once the objection window closes tonight, NTA will review all the challenges submitted by candidates. The agency will examine each objection carefully along with the supporting documents. After completing the review process, NTA will release the final answer key. If any objection is found valid, the answer will be updated in the final key, and marks will be revised accordingly for all affected candidates.
When Will NTA Declare JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Result?
NTA is expected to declare the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 result on February 12, 2026. The result will include the candidate's total marks, percentile score, and All India Rank (AIR). These scores will be used for admission into undergraduate engineering (B.E./B.Tech), architecture (B.Arch), and planning (B.Planning) programmes at participating government and private institutions across India.
