NTA has released the documents required for JEE Main 2026 registration along with a brochure.
According to the notification, this year, there are some important changes you need to know about. If you're not using Aadhaar or DigiLocker, you'll need to upload a soft copy of your identity card. PwD Candidates can now provide either a UDID card or a Disability certificate.
You must upload your Class 10 certificate. This is mandatory for everyone.
The authorities have started JEE Main 2026 registration from October 31, 2025, and the last date to apply is November 27, 2025.

Important Update: Aadhaar-Based Auto-Fill Feature
NTA has also issued an advisory on updating the Aadhar, UDID and category certificates ahead of the JEE Main 2026 registration process.

This means candidates applying through Aadhaar may not need to upload their photo separately, as it will be automatically fetched from the UIDAI database.

EWS Certificate (Economically Weaker Section): Applying under EWS? Make sure you have your certificate number handy. You'll need to fill in this along with other details mentioned in your EWS Certificate.
- Disability Certificate & UDID Card: Candidates with disabilities must upload their PwD/Disability Certificate - this is mandatory. Also, check that your UDID Card hasn't expired. If it has, get it renewed before you apply.
- Identity Proof - Only if not using Aadhaar or DigiLocker (Voter ID, Passport, etc.)
Important Note: General category candidates only need to upload their photograph, signature, and Class 10 certificate.
