JEE Main Session 2 Answer Key 2026 Out: Direct Link, Response Sheet PDF & Objection Window Closes April 13

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a public notice announcing the release of the provisional answer key for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 Session 2. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now view their answer keys and recorded response sheets via the official portal.

The testing agency conducted JEE Main 2026 Session 2 on various dates in April, comprising Paper 1 for B.E. and B.Tech. courses, and Papers 2A and 2B for B.Arch. and B.Planning, respectively. The examination was held at 567 centers located across 306 cities in India and 14 cities outside the country.

The provisional answer key for Paper 1, along with the question papers and the answers recorded by the candidates, has been uploaded. These materials are available for candidates who wish to verify their responses and calculate their probable scores. Candidates may raise objections against the provisional answer key by submitting their challenges online. This process requires the payment of a non-refundable fee of ₹200 per question. The window for submitting objections will remain open from April 11 to April 13, until 11:50 PM.

The fee for raising objections can be paid via Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.

Objections submitted without the requisite payment will not be considered. The agency has clarified that no other mode of fee payment will be accepted. Once submitted, the objections will be reviewed by subject experts. If an objection is found to be valid, the answer key will be revised accordingly. The revised answer key will be applicable uniformly to the responses of all candidates.

How to Download Provisional JEE Mains Answer Key 2026?

Check the steps below to doenload the JEE answer keys 2026 for the April session:

1. Visit the official JEE Main website - jeemain.nta.nic.in.
2. Click the JEE Main 2026 answer key link.
3. On the new window, candidates can see the  JEE Main 2026 login. Use your JEE Main application number and password to login.
4. Under the login, the answer key, with responses and questions, will be available.
5. Download it and take a printout for future reference.

JEE Main 2026 Answer Key Challenge Rules

In case the candidates find any answer incorrect, they can object online by login, along with a proper proof supporting their challenge. A fee of INR 200 per question/answer has to be paid towards the JEE Main 2026 answer key challenge. The submitted objections will be reviewed by NTA, after which the final JEE Main answer key 2026 will be released. The final answer key will be used to calculate the JEE Main result 2026.

Calculation of Score Using JEE Mains 2026 Session 2 Response Sheet and Answer Keys

The JEE Mains answer key has the correct answers to all questions asked in the exam, and the response sheet has the answers marked by the student on the exam day. Candidates can calculate their score in the JEE Main exam using the JEE Main answer key and response sheet.

• Download the JEE Main response sheet and answer key.
• Check the NTA provisional JEE Mains answer key and match it with the answer marked by you as shown on the response sheet.
• For every correct answer, give four marks
• Deduct one mark for every incorrect answer
• Add the total marks of correct questions and subtract the total of incorrect answers.

Preparation of Final Answer Key and Results

Upon the completion of the review process, the final answer key will be prepared. The NTA has clarified that no individual notifications will be sent regarding the acceptance or rejection of specific questions. The final answer key, as determined by the experts, shall be considered conclusive. The results for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 will be compiled based on the revised final answer key.
