NEET Result 2021: Today, the Supreme Court of India (SC) will hear a petition filed by the NTA against the Bombay High Court order for holding NEET 2021 again for two candidates. The candidates Vaishanavi Bhopali and Abhishek Shivaji – claimed that they were given question papers and answer sheets with different serial numbers in the NEET-UG 2021 Exam.
The Bombay High Court said in its order that the petitioners should not suffer because of a mistake done by the respondents. The NEET Exam should be held for both of them and they should be given 48 hours' notice about the exam date and center details.
Regarding this, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, appearing for the NTA, told a bench headed by Chief Justice NV Ramana the results are being halted due to the order of the High Court. He requested an early hearing of the case.
The NTA (National Testing Agency) said in its appeal to the Supreme Court that the NEET Exam was conducted for more than 16 lakhs candidates on September 12, 2021, and due to the HC’s order, the results of the candidates are halted, even though the NEET results are ready for declaration.
They also stated that delay in declaration of Result of NEET (UG) 2021 will affect and further delay the subsequent process of admission to Undergraduate Medical Courses i.e. MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS, and BHMS Courses.
NEET 2021 result can be expected soon after the Supreme Court judgment on this matter.
