NEET Re-Exam 2026 Expected Cutoff: Check Safe Score & Category-Wise Marks - Details Here
More than 22.79 lakh students took the NEET-UG 2026 re-test on June 21. In the meantime, students are eagerly awaiting the release of the provisional answer key and cut-off marks. The National Testing Agency (NTA) hasn't released the official results yet. But based on this year's paper difficulty, past trends, and the overall candidate pool, coaching experts have started projecting category-wise expected cutoffs.
Cut-offs for NEET-UG are different depending on the category. Factors such as the number of applicants, the availability of seats, and the performance of students in the test affect the cut-offs. For instance, the general category requires more than 700 marks to secure a seat in government medical colleges, but the same is not true of reserved categories.
Here's How Experts Analyse the Expected Cutoff
| Category | Aakash Institute | Motion Education |
|---|---|---|
| General / UR | 130 – 150 | 144 – 148 |
| EWS | 135 – 720 | — |
| OBC | 110 – 125 | 113 – 143 |
| SC | 110 – 125 | 113 – 143 |
| ST | 110 – 125 | 113 – 143 |
Remember that this information is based on past trends and this year's paper analysis, and the official cutoff is going to be announced by NTA along with the results. Thus, the aspirants must consider this information as a general guidance only.
It must also be noted that passing the cutoff marks is just one thing. It does not guarantee admission in any government medical college, as there is another score that needs to be achieved in order to get admission in these colleges. This score may differ from state to state and institute to institute, based on categories as well. Passing the cutoff will qualify a candidate for counseling.
The candidates are advised to frequently visit the official websites of NTA at nta.ac.in and MCC at mcc.nic.in for all updates.
