NEET UG 2021: Tamil Nadu’s Big Plan on Exam Postponement By Bringing New Law

Thousands of students are urging the central government to postpone the NEET UG 2021 Exam. They have made multiple hashtags trending on twitter for this. Meanwhile, the Tamil Nadu’s Government and the Health minister Ma. Subramanian said, they will bring a law for the exemptions of NEET Exam 2021 and it will be sent to the President for approval.

The Health Minister of Tamil Nadu Stated "This will ensure social justice and protect all vulnerable student communities from being discriminated in admission to medical education programmes.

He also said the state government has been constantly opposing NEET for admission to the medical courses. The new law will help the students to get their admission in medical colleges based on the board marks instead of NEET.

Considering the difficulties of the poor students in getting admission to medical seats, the government constituted a committee headed by Rajan, and it undertook a detailed study on whether the NEET-based admission process has adversely affected the social, economic and federal polity and the students of rural and urban poor, those who studied in government schools, those who studied in Tamil medium, or any other section of students in Tamil Nadu and submitted its proposal on July 14.

Apart from these things thousands of students have registered the petition on Change.org in the last week to postpone the NEET Exam 2021 at least till october. Because their board exams and NEET Exam dates are clashing or very close.

However, the NEET Authorities have released the new statement and according to that NEET exam is not going to reschedule. It will be conducted on the schedule date September 12.
