NEET UG 2026 Result: When Will NTA Release Scorecard for 20 Lakh Students?

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the NEET UG 2026 result, the OMR sheet, and the final answer key on its official website. So far, no official date or time has been announced for the result. The re-NEET exam was held on June 21 across 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad for over 22.79 lakh candidates.

The exam ran from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM (IST) in pen-and-paper mode. Candidates with disabilities (PwD/PwBD) who qualify for compensatory time can write the exam until 6:20 PM.

When will NTA release the NEET UG 2026 re-exam result?

The re-NEET exam took place after the May 3 exam was cancelled for over 20 lakh students due to an alleged paper leak. NTA released the provisional answer key on June 25. Candidates then had a chance to raise objections until June 28 if they wanted to challenge any answer.

According to officials, around 10,000 challenges came in from aspirants. To download the final answer key, you'll need to enter your application number and password.

• Visit the official NEET website at https://neet.nta.nic.in/.
• On the homepage, click the link that says "Download NEET UG Final Answer Key."
• Enter your login details — application number, password, and CAPTCHA code.
• Your NEET UG 2026 final answer key will show up on the screen.
• Download it and take a printout for future reference.

NEET UG 2026: Challenge Window

An expert panel of the respective subjects at NTA shall assess all the challenges of the candidates. In case any challenge is found valid, NTA will modify the answer key accordingly and shall apply the modification to all candidates' answers. Finally, the result will be prepared and declared on the basis of this modified answer key. None of the candidates will be informed about acceptance/rejection of their challenges. The modified final answer key after the challenges will be considered final and will be put up on the NTA website prior to declaring the result.

The evaluation of the answer sheets will be done following the usual process of NTA and the result will be made available on https://neet.nta.nic.in/. After that, candidates may download their scorecards. Any other organization of the Central Government / State Governments may consider the NEET UG 2026 result for further action in accordance with their own eligibility criteria / norms / rules for admission. Also, the result data will be used for B.Sc. (H) Nursing programs in accordance with these norms.

Also, the NEET UG 2026 result data will be used for admission to BVSc & AH programs through 15% VCI quota in the recognized Veterinary Colleges.
