Every single NEET candidate who qualified in the medical entrance exam is eagerly waiting for the counseling process of NEET 2021. However, it is being delayed due to the ongoing case in the Supreme Court of India.

MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) has released a notice in which they have mentioned that NEET UG Counselling could get delayed by another month. Notice Regarding UG counseling 2021

Noted that, the SC is examining the feasibility of keeping Rs 8 lakh as a limit to offer the EWS quota which is newly introduced for medical admissions. The court will hear the matter on 6, January 2022.

What Candidates Must Know?

They must know that the central government has introduced 27% reservations for students belonging to OBC and 10% reservations for those candidates who belong to EWS Categories. EWS is also known as Economically Backward Class which means those candidates whose family income is less than Rs. 8 lakh can avail the EWS Quota. The court in the last hearing had asked about setting the limit.
