NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 2 Seat Matrix has been published by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). There has been an addition of 659 fresh seats in MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing programmes in the second round of counselling.
Those students who wish to appear in MCC NEET UG Counselling 2026 can fill up their application form through the official website of MCC at mcc.nic.in. The registration period for Round 2 closes on September 8, 2026.
In NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 1, there has been allotment of more than 29,000 seats, whereas there are 31,728 seats in total.

MCC Introduces Three New Rules for NEET UG Counselling 2026
There have been certain modifications in the counselling procedure by MCC for making the admissions process easier for the candidates.
No Physical Reporting Required for Upgrade Candidates
Candidates who get their seats alloted and opt for the upgrade/willing to upgrade option in subsequent rounds do not have to report physically to the allotted college.
Their allotted seat will stay safe in the counselling system as they will participate in subsequent rounds.
Online Facility for Resigning Seats
An online resignation facility has been provided by MCC for those candidates who wish to resign from their allotted seats during the counselling round.
The resignation applications can be submitted online through the MCC counselling portal up to the stipulated time period.
Online Facility for NRI Quota Candidates
Candidates applying for the NRI quota can submit their documents online through the MCC counselling portal.
NEET UG Academic Session 2026-27 Begins From September 8
As per the MCC counselling calendar, the academic year for the batch 2026-27 MBBS programme will commence on September 8, 2026.
The allocation of the vacant seats through the forthcoming rounds of counselling process will go on simultaneously with the academic process starting for those candidates who have got admission.
