NEET UG Re-Exam 2026: NTA Opens City Choice & Address Correction Window

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has confirmed that the NEET UG 2026 re-exam will be held on June 21, 2026. The agency released the official public notice on May 15, following its earlier press release on May 12. To make things easier for candidates, the NTA has also opened a window to update the current address and choice of exam city.

The exam will be held in pen-and-paper (offline) mode at various centres across India and abroad. Candidates can appear in 13 languages — Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

The exam will run from 2 pm to 5:15 pm (IST), which includes the extra time given for exam-related formalities.

City Change & Address Correction Window Now Open

The NTA has opened a window for candidates who want to update their current address and preferred exam city. This is mainly for students whose residential address has changed.

You can make changes on the official NEET website from May 15 to May 21, 2026, till 11:50 pm.

Important Points to Note:

  • Only the current address and exam city can be updated
  • No other changes in application details will be allowed
  • No fee will be charged for this correction
  • If you miss the deadline, your earlier exam city will be final

The NTA has made it clear that requests for changes after the deadline won't be accepted.
