NIOS Exam 2026 Registration Open; Check Last Date, Fees and Application Process

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has begun the online registration procedure for the October/November 2026 examination for the Vocational Education Courses. The applications are available from the following websites: nios.ac.in and voc.nios.ac.in.

The online registration facility will be useful for those candidates who could not pass the April/May 2026 examinations. Those candidates who have passed the examination but wish to score better can also register for the examination.

NIOS October-November 2026 Exam Registration Dates

NIOS has commenced the regular registration process free of any late fee from August 20 to September 3, 2026.

The students who fail to register themselves on time will be offered multiple opportunities to register themselves through late fees.

Regular registration	August 20 to September 3, 2026	₹400 per subject/module
First late fee window	September 4 to September 8, 2026	₹400 + ₹150 late fee per subject
Final registration window	September 9 to September 13, 2026	₹400 + ₹1,600 consolidated late fee per learner

The examination fee of ₹400 per subject or module includes theory, practical and internal assessment charges wherever applicable.

Who Can Apply for NIOS Exam 2026?

The registration procedure is open to:

Those students who did not manage to clear the examination held in April-May 2026.
Those students who have already cleared the exam but wish to do better.

Eligible students may apply through the online process.

How to Register for NIOS October-November Exam 2026?

Following are the ways to register for NIOS examination:

Access the official website of NIOS at either nios.ac.in or voc.nios.ac.in.
Click on the link of examination registration.
Fill in the necessary information.
Choose the subject or module for the examination.
Make the payment of the examination fee online.
Submit your application form.
Take the printout of the confirmation page.

It has been made clear by NIOS that registration and the fee payment will only be done through online mode. Offline application form and examination fee will not be accepted.

It is recommended that students should finish the process of registration before the deadline, otherwise NIOS will not entertain any late application.
