NIOS 10th, 12th registration for 2026 is now open. The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has released a notification with the schedule for registration and exam fee payment for the March-April 2026 public exams.

Students enrolled in Stream 1, Block 1 for the March-April 2026 exam can pay their exam fee from November 21 to December 20, 2025, without any late fee.

NIOS will conduct the next public examination for Secondary and Senior Secondary courses in March-April 2026. Students can visit the official website sdmis.nios.ac.in to register for the NIOS Block 1 exam 2026.

The board is expected to release the NIOS 10th, 12th public exam timetable for April 2026 in March 2026. The exam fee payment schedule for students registered for the September-October 2025 exams will be announced after the results are declared.

Regular Fee: Rs. 300 per subject
Additional Fee for Practical Subjects: Rs. 150 per subject

Important Instructions for Senior Secondary Students

Students appearing for Senior Secondary Course must maintain a gap of two years from their block/session and the year they passed the Secondary exam. This gap is required to get the passing certificate.

If you don't have the required two-year gap, you can register for a maximum of four subjects only. This includes subjects you've already passed. Choose your subjects carefully for the March-April 2026 exam.

How to Pay NIOS Exam Fee 2026

You can pay the exam fee only through online mode. Visit the official NIOS website at sdmis.nios.ac.in to complete the payment. Make sure you pay within the deadline to avoid late fees.
