QS MBA Rankings 2027 Released: Check Top IIMs in Global Top 100 List
The QS Global Full-Time MBA Rankings 2027 have been released, with three Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) securing positions among the world’s top 100 MBA programmes. However, all three institutes have moved down compared to their rankings in the previous year.
IIM Bangalore, which remains India’s highest-ranked MBA institute, secured the 64th position globally. It was followed by IIM Ahmedabad at 70th place and IIM Calcutta at 95th place.
According to QS, Indian business schools faced increased competition from global institutes, especially in areas such as Return on Investment, Entrepreneurship & Alumni Outcomes, and Diversity. At the same time, several Indian institutes showed improvement in the Thought Leadership category.

QS MBA Rankings 2027: Top Indian IIMs
The ranking positions of the top three IIMs are given below:

19 Indian Institutes Feature in QS MBA Rankings 2027
In all, there are 19 Indian educational institutes that have made their place in the QS Global Full-Time MBA Ranking 2027. The numbers are much higher as compared to the previous year.
Seven Indian educational institutes had made an appearance in 2022, while there were only five in 2020.
Overall, in the MBAs and specialized Business Master’s rankings, 28 Indian institutions have been added, putting India at the fourth position, after the US, UK and France.
This year, five Indian institutes are participating in the QS MBA ranking for the first time.
IIM Bangalore Remains India’s Top MBA Institute
IIM Bangalore maintains its record as the number one MBA institute in India for the fourth year in a row.
The institute stood at the 29th place globally in Employability and second in Asia in this category. It has improved in the category of Thought Leadership and attained the 51st rank globally.
IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Calcutta continued to retain their positions among the top 100 MBA institutes of the world.
IIM Ahmedabad ranked among the top 40 in Employability and 84th in Entrepreneurship & Alumni Outcomes. This was the sole Indian institution to have made it into the list of top 100 institutes globally in this category.
New Indian Entries in QS MBA Rankings 2027
In 2027, several Indian institutions made their debut appearance in the QS MBA Rankings.
The O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) ranked highest among the new Indian institutions and earned itself a place within the 171-180 range.
Some other new Indian institutions included:
- Jaipuria Institute of Management
- School of Business and Management, CHRIST (Deemed to be University)
- School of Leadership and Management
- Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies
- Vikrant University Gwalior
- These institutions ranked within the 301+ range.
QS MBA Rankings 2027: Global Top 10 MBA Schools
The United States held dominance over the leading places in the QS Global Full-Time MBA Rankings 2027.
The MIT Sloan School of Management achieved the first rank in the world for the first time. The Harvard Business School was second and the Stanford Graduate School of Business third.

The National University of Singapore Business School stayed as the highest-ranked MBA school in Asia with a global ranking of 23rd place. Other leading Asian schools are:
- Tsinghua University – 29th globally
- Singapore Management University – 41st globally
- IIM Bangalore – 64th globally
- IIM Ahmedabad – 70th globally
IIM Bangalore and IIM Ahmedabad were one of the top ten MBA schools in Asia.
How QS MBA Rankings 2027 Are Prepared
QS Global Full-Time MBA Rankings take into account more than 420 MBA programs offered by 65 countries around the world. The ranking criteria are as follows:

IIM Bangalore stood at the 31st spot in Management Masters, while IIM Ahmedabad stood at the 46th spot in Management.
On the other hand, IIM Calcutta stood at 57th in Management and 96th in Business Analytics.
