The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has extended the deadline for first-year intermediate admissions for the 2024-25 academic year to October 15, 2024. No specific reason has been provided for the extension, which was initially set for September 15, 2024.

Students and parents are encouraged to verify the affiliation of their chosen junior colleges before proceeding with admissions. A list of affiliated colleges can be found on the official TSBIE websites: acadtgbie.cgg.gov.in and tgbie.cgg.gov.in.

Late Fee for Private Junior Colleges

According to the TSBIE notice, students enrolling in government and government-sector junior colleges can complete admissions without any late fee. However, those applying to private junior colleges must pay a late fee of ₹500.

The TSBIE has urged all junior college principals, whether from government, private aided, private unaided, cooperative, or residential institutions, to ensure that the admission process runs smoothly up to the extended deadline.

Official Extension Notice

TSBIE's official notice states: “All Principals of Government/Private Aided/Private Un-Aided/Co-Operative/TG Residential/TG Social Welfare Residential/TG Tribal Welfare Residential/TG Model Schools/TG BC Welfare/ TMRJC/KGBV /Incentive Junior Colleges and Composite Degree Colleges offering the two-year Intermediate Course are informed that the last date for admissions into first-year Intermediate for the academic year 2024-25 is extended to October 15, 2024, with a late fee of ₹500 for Private Junior Colleges and no late fee for Government & Government Sector Junior Colleges.”

Required Documents for First-Year Admission

To apply for the first-year intermediate course for 2024-25, students must submit the following documents:

  • Class 10 or SSC marksheet (original and photocopy)
  • Transfer certificate (TC) from the previous school
  • Bonafide certificate from the last attended school
  • Caste certificate (if applicable, for reservation benefits)
  • Income certificate (for fee concession or scholarship applications)
  • Aadhaar card or any valid ID proof
  • Recent passport-sized photographs (4-6 typically required)
  • Domicile or residence certificate (if needed)
  • Migration certificate (for students coming from boards outside Telangana)
