The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has released the official seat matrix for the BDes 2026-27 academic year. The seat matrix is available on the official UCEED website at uceed.iitb.ac.in. Candidates who appeared for the UCEED 2026 exam can now check the institute-wise and category-wise seat distribution.
The UCEED 2026 exam was conducted by IIT Bombay on January 18, 2026. A total of 7 participating institutes — including 6 IITs and IIITDM Jabalpur — are offering BDes seats through UCEED 2026. The total number of seats has been increased over recent years, with the revised total now standing at 245 seats.
Candidates will be allotted BDes seats in IITs and other participating institutes based on their performance in the UCEED entrance exam.
UCEED Seat Matrix for BDes 2026-27
The following table shows category-wise distribution of the available seats in Bachelor of Design (BDes) programmes at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Indore, IIT Roorkee and IIITDM Jabalpur for the academic year 2026-2027:
